Description
This transmission set pairs an arc-tooth worm with a sector (segment) worm wheel. Unlike continuous 360° wheels, the sector only carries teeth in the working angle — ideal for oscillating gates, metallurgy swing axes and heavy indexing within a fixed stroke.
Arc-tooth geometry enlarges contact area under impact loads, reducing pitting versus cylindrical worms. Wheels use composite hubs with tin-bronze tooth segments; worms are alloy steel, heat-treated and precision finished.
